She survived it, shocking I know. She was actually thrilled, she didn’t pee her pants and she came home with all her belongings. I guess I am joining the ranks of parents that cry in exclamation, “I can’t believe this is happening!” But it is. And I am really happy for her. Going to school is right for Ads (as opposed to private or homeschooling). I am embarrassed to say that we barely got our slacker butts out of bed in time. We are sooo not morning people, but now we must be. Which equated some frantic screaming as we realized it was 730am and she had to be at school at 8am. Yikes. I manned the breakfast and lunch prep while andy did the clothes. Thankfully we had laid her clothes out the night before, avoiding a lengthy, “BUT I don’t want to wear that!” School uniforms would be so nice. So by the time I quickly brushed her hair and made sure her teeth were moderately clean, I snapped these cute pictures, realizing her hair was looking pretty bed-head gone poofy. She’s so dang adorable, rocking the flats and skinny jeans. Not sure what she’s doing in these pictures, but I like it! In keeping with her form, she would BARELY talk about school. She’s just not in to talking I guess, I thought I had like 10 more years before she stopped telling me about her day. Hmpf.
