kidsincarThis is what happens when you intentionally put your kids in jackets and a warm car to induce a nap. We are cruel, and yes, we got her a pillow soon after this photo. Our trip to Seattle was just over 24 hours but you wouldn’t know it by all that we packed in. Dinner with friends on Bainbridge, a stay in a cute boutique hotel downtown, followed by an early morning at Top Pot. Saw a good friend and her adorable new baby Asher, which will forever remind me of one of the best books, in a good way. Ate lunch at Honey Hole (yes, please!) with good friends and then got haircuts while the kids were in their forced sleep coma. Walked around Broadway, window shopped and then to Northgate to kill time. Really is there NO play area in that mall?@! Then off to dinner (thanks Greg and Kendra) at Lake Forest Bar and Grill with crazy kids climbing everywhere, good thing we knew the manager or else we would have been thrown out. Finally we headed home, but not before making a fabulous, sadly quick, stop by my dear book club to give some much needed hugs and sway some votes. We are going to miss this city and all the wonderful people and places that it houses.
