Phew. Thank goodness today was better than yesterday. I’m not sure how I made yesterday sound - it was not THAT bad. Today was great. We let addy sleep in, we gotta prime her up with energy.
We went on a boat cruise of Manhattan. Seriously worth the money. Perfect for addy, she didn’t have to walk long distances. She was more impressed with the ducks and the water. The Statue of Liberty was beautiful, the Brooklyn Bridge breathtaking and the weather was so heavenly. I overheard a NY-er saying this weather happens like 5 days out of the year. Well thank you for letting it be on my vacation!! After the tour we had lunch at the burger joint, thanks tina! So good and the workers were really cool.
I got really adventurous after lunch and ventured out with addy alone. I will admit I was totally freaked out. I haven’t really been paying attention to how the subway works, andy has been a wonderful navigator. I did it (although I can’t really take much credit since it was only a few stops uptown). We went to the museum of natural history. What a better experience, addy loved it. She could run from case to case, it was loud and full of tons of kids. I love having alone time with addy. She is such a doll. On the way home the subway broke down, yikes! Thankfully we weren’t that far from our apartment, so I bought a spongebob popsicle and we walked home. Happily. I wish tomorrow wasn’t our last day…
