alright alright

in school, vacation

I know.  I finally updated our flicker photos for those of you interested.  We ended the NY segment of our trip with a brief, yet fabulous stop at the MoMA.  I only looked at three floors and I only had an hour.  How horrible, right?  For me (Andy can probably write a bulleted post about his perspective), I particularly loved ALL the work by Leon Ferrari and Robert Rauschenberg.  It didn’t feel real that I was actually looking at real paintings.  Someday, hopefully, we will return and spend a longer amount of time there savoring the amazing art.  In our poor planning we did not realize the MoMA was closed on Tuesdays -note to all potential travelers out there.  Boo.  So we had to go the day of our departure to Philadelphia.  We were grateful that our friend Rachel made the trek up from DC to see us and spend the day together!

After a subway ride, lots of stairs, walking around Chinatown lost with a crying child (yikes!), a bus ride, a train, a shuttle and finally a rental car we made it to a suburb of Philadelphia for my sister’s wedding.  The wedding was beautiful and wonderful.  It was so much fun to be around my family, in all our craziness.  There was never a shortage of dancing, incessant talking and teasing.  Thanks Paul and Wen for creating such a fabulous wedding that we were able to share in.  Georgia is an awful long way away and you will be missed.

Since our return, Andy has started his master’s program.  Thankfully his first week has been fairly mild, gratefully so since he is still taking 6 classes online (just until next week).  So we are hunkering down.  He to his online classes and me to my mcat books.  It feels good to get focused.  Now my battles are finding time to study amidst the chaos of kids.  admittedly I am enjoying my new life here.  I spend the morning playing with the kids at the park or outside, make dinner in the afternoon and study all evening.  I am finally employed by a nursing agency! Time will tell how much work they have for me or how our schedules will work out.

**We suprisingly took few pictures in NYC. Nobody wants to see our pictures of buildings, etc. We did take a handful, here’s my favorite shot.
