Lately I have been avoiding cooking, which is bad when you have a family that needs to eat three times a day. I need new ideas for healthy, easy meals. I even have one of Jamie Oliver’s cookbooks and I have barely cracked it. Random side note, I was recently perusing this site, be warned you may throw up. I am slowly understanding the notion of sustainable, i.e. it’s not about organic, per se, but more about how food is created and cared for. I will slowly come around. I am interested in *good* recipes, particularly vegetarian, including vegetables such as cauliflower, swiss chard or brussels sprouts. I just realized how to spell brussels, I always seem to forget that last S. It was warm-er in Seattle today, thank god. A glimmer of hope that summer IS real. I am already dreaming about a summertime full of soaking in the sun (with my mcat flashcards) and sitting by the kiddie pool drinking a noon cocktail. Also, lots of fruit. Just thinking about peaches and berries gets me hungry.
Here’s a odd assortment of what I want to make, I guess I really want to make quinoa. Got any new ideas?

I swear this is the best quinoa recipe I have made…and ever eaten:

I put extra pesto in it and hardly could control myself. It makes a ton. Well, a ton for one person. Maybe perfect for four.
BESO,
