I’m back. Just returned this morning from our whirlwind trip to Phoenix. Including, but not limited to, a bridal shower, a bottle of rum and whisky, seeing long ago friends, Easter Sunday with Addy pooping her pants, a round of pink eye with fevers, and crashing an easter egg hunt. Owen slept in the laundry room. Addy slept in our room. Things like, “No Kendra (her cousin Kendrick), that’s mine!” and “But, I wanna go to the park!” were shouted both during the day and while she was sleeping. We ate like fools and gluttons consuming lots of In and Out Burger and successfully made my sister feel bad about it. Sorry H, love you. To purge myself I took a three hour nap, awoke to whiny kids and an empty fridge. I might go running in the morning, I am only 30% sure of that statement though. Owen is purging himself by vomiting all day long. Thank goodness he did not start on the plane. Poor little guy. I have made a big pile of kale that I am consuming with relish. My house is clean, hooray for cleaning BEFORE I left, and my bags are mostly unpacked. The washer is running and that makes me glad. Addy kept telling us the last few days, “I wanna go home home.” It is sweet that she is finally understanding home and longing for respite. In her defense, the toy stealing was reaching a maxima. It’s just plain hard to share, unfortunately it doesn’t get any easier with age. Now to the grind. Moving. Packing. Job Search. Mcat. I have a few fillings scheduled for tomorrow. It’s good to be home.

I am not lying when I say your life seems pretty cool, despite all the poop and vomit…still sounds like real life and it is cool.
