You are one year old today bubs!  This has been the fastest year of my life.  You have been a dream baby.  Although lately you have been crawling around hanging on to my pant leg, crying for me to pick you up.  It is endearing, albeit difficult to make dinner.  A time will come when you won’t even like the pants I wear so I will try to enjoy it.  I also have to admit that your dislike for being changed is aggravating.  Much to your dismay it is not water torture, just a diaper.  

You have started walking lately which is totally and utterly adorable.  Lots of falling and head banging included.  Sometimes you say mama and sometimes you give me a hug or a kiss and I think I want to die.  I know you are my child by the fact that you will eat curry, spicy rice and salsa.  Truthfully, this makes me really proud.  Then on other hand you will not eat any vegetable unless I disguise it in something else, you are your father’s child.  But mostly you love bread, lots of bread.  It’s a good thing juvenile diabetes doesn’t run in the family. 

Today I worked and I missed your birthday.  I sang you happy birthday in your crib and you giggled like crazy.  That was the best part of my day.  You are and always will be one of my greatest accomplishments.  Here’s to many happy years.
