I am wearing down. My crazy life is catching up to me. Thankfully, an end is in sight –well at least to one thing. My class ends on march 19th. It will be a welcomed relief to a crazy time. All this craziness as made me more of a creature of habit. Perhaps it is an attempt to have something to control. All the above = I am tired. So tired I don’t even think I can drink a beer. Just kidding, I will still drink a beer.
Sometimes it is the tiny things that steer us. Here are mine. My daily breakfast, oatmeal with walnuts and red pear chopped on top + latte. It really doesn’t get better. Owen going to bed early because he has been this to me lately. I’m not kidding, I can’t put him down. My favorite new food, kale, you are getting me through life right now, seriously. Work superfood, work! Andy, thank you for folding laundry without me even asking –I didn’t know you had it in you. Also, for being far more patient with the kids, and for fixing our fridge, and our car, and buying us new towels. It has been nearly seven years with our towels. It was time. These small things mean so much right now. And yes, the answer to the question is YES. ALL this work is worth the end product.

Katherine, you are amazing! I don’t know how you do it…
I love what you said about oatmeal. I am an oatmeal + latte girl myself. I haven’t busted into the kale realm yet, but you’ve inspired me to try:)
I was sent this article and thought of you: http://proof.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/03/05/moderation-and-the-modern-mom/
