in boo., head explosions, life, school, work

I started out today grumpy. Last night I missed my favorite activity, book club, due to work.  Today I had to skip class in order to do a work presentation.  Not that I am some fanatical student that HAS to go to every class or something (well, I sorta am).  Even still, I was bugged.  Thankfully I had my latte this morning.  No-latte-mornings are never a good omen.  In the end it was good.  The presentation went really well. I can’t complain too much since it was a shared leadership conference.  I really like public speaking anyway.

On a promising note.  Andy has successfully enrolled in his classes despite procrastination and at this point we are awaiting the final “you got in!” letter.  As usual I was worrying about how our lives would work with all of our stuff, but is seems that we will be able to manage.  Imagine that.  At some point I should post our weekly calendar on the blog. It is pretty ridiculous.  Even more ridiculous, was the amount I paid to take my physics class at the UW.  I was standing at the cashier desk and she says, “twelve o’ one, please” and I say, “$12.01?” (I actually said that) and she says, “NO, twelve hundred and one dollars please.”  I stood there stammering and muttering under my breath that I did not really mean “$12.01″ and I’m really not that stupid.  I don’t think she cared, she just wanted to know which form of payment I would be using. I guess I am the dork that didn’t actually calculate how much the class would cost before signing up for it.  Sigh.

I would like to add, the only reason we can manage is because our wonderful friends who are willing to watch our kids during work and night class overlap. You guys are great and we are so incredibly thankfull!!’
