I am getting tired of hibernating. We are all going crazy being cooped up in a small space for way too long. I am out of free ideas though. Where can I go that is fun, free and preferably inside? Please don’t say Bellevue Square.
I just left my daughters room where a standoff occurred over nap time, it was not pretty. Mostly she doesn’t take naps, but she has a stuffy nose and I want time by myself. I can only wonder at the future stand offs to come. I’d like to think we are cool parents. We took our kids to Kirkland (after work and I had to work the next day!) to hang out with friends. Addy got to stay up till eleven and go in the hot tub. It was raining ever so slightly and there was a thick layer of fog. It could not have been more perfect hot tub weather.
I am reading a book about how doctors think. It is intriguing and insightful. I am really enjoying it. It is getting me excited at the prospect. Lately I am leaning towards internal medicine. Day after day I see patients frustrated but their illnesses and struggling with 12 different doctors coming in the room, the annoyance of having the on call doctor who doesn’t give a shit, etc. If they only realized to just take 5 minutes and LISTEN to the patient they could do wonders. People just want to be heard. Obviously i will be perfect (sarcasm).
This is what addy does multiple times a day. She must be extremely bored. She calls it play running. She hiked up her pants then took off.
