Adalyn had a great time experiencing the ocean for the first time on Saturday. The weather wasn’t the greatest but Adalyn would have stayed out playing in the sand all day. She enjoyed chasing after waves until one finally caught her, causing her to trip and face plant into the water. Katherine was kind enough to snap some of these lovely pictures before heading back to the hotel. Even though she was soaking she didn’t want to leave.
Ocean Shores wasn’t anything amazing, but we had a great time getting out of Seattle. Addy got to fly a kite, play mini golf, swim at the hotel pool and go in the “hot bath tub.” Adalyn also fell out of the “big bed” twice in the night, once hitting her eye on the end table leaving her with a nice bruise. We drove back to Seattle encouraged that you can still get out with a newborn and a rambunctious toddler, and returned with resolve to take more adventurous trips in the future.
